The transport of remote video for Public Safety applications is a sign of modern technology-driven-law-enforcement.
This session begins with a brief overview of video applications with their advanced video compression technologies, and a comparison of the primary options for wireless backhaul (802.11 and 802.16). Following this is the RF realities and issues with supporting multiple video streams while still allowing other traffic on the wireless network is discussed.
Implementation examples presented are of a 4.9 GHz Broadband (WiMax) network carrying video demonstrate successful solutions to the challenges.
